Erling Haaland has named an Arsenal player whom he believes would immediately improve Manchester City’s current squad. Both teams face off at the Etihad Stadium on March 31 in what could be a key match in the Premier League title race this season. Mikel Arteta’s team is currently at the top of the league after Liverpool and City drew 1-1 at Anfield before the international break and are ahead of the Reds on goal difference. City, meanwhile, is one point behind in third place with a lower goal difference than both teams, but will finish the coming weekend at the top if they win and Liverpool fails to beat Brighton. Their draw against Jurgen Klopp’s team was only the second time City failed to win a league match since December 16, as Pep Guardiola’s side tried to continue their seemingly traditional late title push. And when asked if Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard could improve the City squad, Haaland replied: “Yes, I think so. He is a good player and a player who plays for our rivals. He has just signed a new contract, so it’s not a topic, but at City we have many of the best players in the world.” Odegaard has had another outstanding season for the Gunners in midfield, controlling games and scoring six goals. He has also provided six assists, while his individual contributions have often proved the difference between draws and victories.
