The Italian tennis player, Luca Nardi, has eliminated the Serbian Novak Djokovic from the BNP Paribas Open, defeating him in sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
Nardi, who is ranked 123rd in the world tennis rankings, ousted Djokovic from the competition, and in the end, he fell to his knees in disbelief.

“This is a miracle. I’m 20 years old, ranked 100th in the world, and I beat Novak. Totally crazy, insanity,” said Nardi.

Setting the tone early with his powerful shots, Nardi frustrated Djokovic throughout the evening. There was a moment when Nardi was surprised by an “in” call and accidentally hit the ball into the net. It resulted in a winning point and caused Djokovic to complain to the official about a possible hindrance.

Nardi was ready to go home. He entered the field as a “lucky loser,” which is a player who was eliminated in the final hurdle of qualifications but made it into the main draw as a replacement for an injured player who withdrew before the first round. In Nardi’s case, he entered in place of number 30, Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
