The Kosovo national team suffered a loss on the road against Azerbaijan in the second match of the pre-qualifications for the FIBA World Cup 2027.
After 40 minutes of play, the score was in favor of the home team by 10 points, 87-77.
The first three quarters were evenly matched at 19-19, 24-25, and 16-16, but in the fourth quarter, the home team proved to be more accurate in their shooting.
Orhan Haciyeva was the most efficient player for the home team with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while the naturalized American Hall also stood out with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
For Kosovo, Dardan Berisha was the most effective with 20 points, while Dardan Kapiti also showed a good performance with another 19 points.
The next match for the Kosovo team will be against Switzerland in November.
