The NBA duel between the Miami Heat and the New Orleans Pelicans was marked by a fierce fight and real chaos, after which four basketball players were ejected.
Jimmy Butler, Thomas Bryant, Jose Alvarado, and Naji Marshall were all ejected following a heated brawl on the court early in the fourth quarter of the Miami-New Orleans Pelicans matchup.
The fight began after Zion Williamson of the Pelicans stole the ball from Butler, and Kevin Love fouled him to prevent an easy score.
While Love was called for a personal foul, Williamson fell to the floor, and Marshall ran to protest the way Williamson was fouled. Butler reacted to this and caused chaos. He and Marshall grabbed each other by the collar at the height of the brawl, with teammates and coaches trying to separate them.
Just when it seemed like the fight was over, elsewhere, Bryant and Alvarado began arguing and exchanging blows, creating new chaos around them.
Emotions also flared in the stands as a Pelicans fan threw objects towards the Miami players. Security immediately removed them from the stands.
All four players involved in the altercation were ejected, and Miami ended up celebrating a 106-95 victory as the visiting team.
